Boosting endogenous collagen production with Cosmythic®
Many foods contain collagen (fish and animal products). It is also used in the formulation of many food supplements.
Purextract® favors the approach of stimulating the production of endogenous collagen. With age, fibroblasts (cells responsible for collagen production) are less active. They produce less collagen, with a poorer quality.

Collagen is the most abundant protein in the human body. While there are several types, type 1 is the most common (90%). It is found in the skin, along with another protein: elastin.

In a double-blind clinical study, taking 100 mg of Cosmythic® for 28 days improved:
- Skin firmness by 8.2% (vs placebo)
- Skin elasticity by 3.6% (vs placebo)
- Skin fatigue* of 9.7% (vs placebo)
* the skin’s ability to maintain good mechanical properties after repeated use
When the mechanical properties of the skin deteriorate, wrinkles appear. In the same clinical study, Cosmythic® reduced:
- Surface wrinkles by 15% (vs placebo)
- Wrinkle depth by 8% (vs placebo)
Cosmythic® inhibits melanin synthesis in melanocytes. Compared to other active ingredients commonly used in this application (kojik acid), the effects of Cosmythic® are significant.
Effectiveness of Cosmythic® on the depigmentation of brown spots
A supplement of 100mg of Cosmythic® per day for 8 weeks helps to reduce the size and intensity of brown spots by 12.5% (vs placebo)
